We are delighted to inform you that i~HD has released 12 short interviews with European experts and patient representatives. Interviewees explain the importance of using health data to enable for high quality health care and research, and the importance of public trust and understanding of how their data can be used securely whilst protecting their individual privacy.
The presentation slides and videos from our March 2016 Inaugural Conference are also available on the i~HD web site. Over 200 participants attended that Paris event, including healthcare providers from across Europe, representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, patient associations, health professional associations, the health ICT industry and standards bodies.
Participants learned more about the role of i~HD (a not-for-profit Institute), developing codes of practice and providing independent governance oversight of clinical research platforms and services, as these expand across Europe. Several presentations were given on this theme: the EHR4CR platform and its pharma-led adoption programme, the new legal landscape protecting patient privacy, and the i~HD governance services that reflect state-of-the-art in the trustworthy reuse of health data for research.

We are starting to make plans for a special conference for hospitals, to be held in early 2017, to provide support and to share practices in improving data quality, in re-using their health data for research and for organisational learning, and in privacy protection.
We are also pleased to announce that i~HD has been appointed to join the European Commission's eHealth Stakeholder Group (read more on our new website).
We welcome you on the new i~HD website.
With best wishes,
